Normal West standout tight end Max Ziebarth signed with Illinois State University and Metamora standout girls basketball player Brooklyn Marshall put pen to paper as she signed with Olivet Nazarene University.
In boys basketball, Peoria Notre Dame beat Peoria Manual, Metamora defeated Dunlap, and Morton scored a big win over Washington in overtime. In girls play. Morton cruised to a win over Brimfield, Washington defeated Eureka, Peoria Notre Dame knocked off Normal Community, and Peoria High got a win against Normal West.
Frazier led the way with a season-high 27 points to go along with 5 steals, Plummer added in 25 points. While Kofi Cockburn notched a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, plus Jacob Grandison scored 14 points off the bench. All other players were a combined 0-9 from the field.
