POTENT Gratitude Park would sit beside Sovereign Grace M.B. church on Peoria’s south side.The idea was a collaboration between many groups who wanted to see Peoria shine. One group, POTENT Gratitude, wanted the park to represent hope in the community.
“We don’t do it for the money, we just do it to give everybody a good opportunity to sell their stuff and find cool things and then they can come in and shop in our store,” Market runner and owner of 316 Antiques Don McKinley said.
A Peoria woman - Keena Fauntleroy, 28, of the 2600 block of West Humboldt Street - pleaded guilty Wednesday, May 11, to one count of making false statements in connection with the acquisition of firearms, which is commonly referred to as straw purchasing.
Creston Coleman played on Manual’s 1997 state championship team, which was the school’s fourth in a row. He said he was producing a documentary film about Manual’s basketball history and would begin filming May 21st.
