A man who had been fighting with his wife attacked one of two officers who were on the scene at Oak and Clay Streets on the city’s west side, said Fairbury Police Det. Tyler Rafferty.

Police used a taser to subdue the suspect and he was taken into custody.

Rafferty said Fairbury Police were helped at the scene by officers from Pontiac, Chenoa, Chatsworth, and the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
