ISU hoops offers four Bloomington-Normal standouts, KB Strong hosts annual golf outing
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - At his introductory press conference in March, new Illinois State basketball coach Ryan Pedon said that he wanted to place an emphasis on recruiting the midwest, the state of Illinois and the local area. He backed up that promise on Monday afternoon, offering four Bloomington-Normal area basketball standouts to join ISU basketball. Bloomington Central Catholic’s Cole Certa and Normal Community standout junior trio Jaheem Webber, Noah Cleveland and Braylon Roman all received Redbird offers on Monday. Certa also received offers from Drake and Southern Illinois on top of previous offers from Bradley and Toledo. Webber also picked up an offer from SIU on Monday.
Monday was also a very special day of golf at El Paso Golf Club as KB Strong, the foundation founded in honor of late Washington basketball coach Kevin Brown, hosted its 2nd annual golf outing. The outing was sold out with proceeds going to help the fight against glioblastoma.
