UPDATE 12:03 P.M. - Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth tells Heart of Illinois ABC that one of the victims, Tyrese L. Walker, 24, was questioned and subsequently arrested for aggravated battery with a firearm and will be transported to the Peoria County Jail after being released from the hospital.

UPDATE 7:12 A.M. - Peoria Police tell Heart of Illinois ABC two gunshot victims were transported to OSF Healthcare Monday morning.

The victims’ injuries are being classified as non-life threatening.

The shooting took place in the parking lot of Big Al’s in downtown Peoria.

No arrests have been made.

PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Violence in the River City just two hours into the 4th of July holiday.

Peoria Police spokesperson Semone Roth told Heart of Illinois ABC police were called to the 400 blk. of SW Jefferson Ave and Harrison St. around 2:15 a.m. Monday morning to reports of shots fired.

Witnesses there told officers two men were seen arguing outside the property.

A short time later, PPD was informed about a victim with a gunshot wound who was dropped off at a local hospital via private vehicle.

The victims’s name, age and condition are unknown as of Monday morning.

No suspect information is available.
