PEORIA (Heart Of Illinois ABC) - Residents gathered at Dozer Park today to welcome home a Peoria Native in a Gospel Concert.

Victor Solomon, a finalist from NBC’s ‘The Voice,’ was home to perform along side with Jordan Feliz. Event Organizer Friendship House wanted to host a positive event for the community.

Solomon shared what this experience means to him. Especially returning to his roots and performing for the community and fans.

“It means everything to me growing up I always wanted to perform and minster to gods people so the fact that this is a Christian service event is incredible and I love it I love singing Gospel music,” said Solomon.

During the event attendees held their hands up, prayed, and danced along to the musical tunes.

Solomon also performed a never-before-released song called, My Answer Is Yes, mixing jazz into a traditional gospel.

All proceeds will go to Friendship House.
