80′s and less humid for the midweek
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Daytime highs reaching the mid to upper 90′s Tuesday afternoon, marking one of the hottest days of the year so far. A passing cold front early this morning will bring the return of more comfortable back for the midweek.
Clouds will gradually clear through the workday after a mostly cloudy start. Expect humid conditions as you head out the door for the morning drive, but it will feel more comfortable by the afternoon. The passing cold front will bring north northwesterly winds, driving out the hot, humid air that has been in place since late Monday.
Temperatures will trend a few degrees above our average of 85 degrees. Daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 80′s across the region under mostly sunny skies this afternoon.
The next few days will be comfortable before humidity increases heading into the weekend. A few storms will be possible late Friday, but a better chance for scattered storms will arrive on Saturday.
A break from the heat will arrive next week with temperatures at or below average.
