PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Thankfully we weren’t as hot or humid as what we saw yesterday, but hot weather is expected to continue for the rest of the week. We need rainfall, but our weather will remain dry for the next few days. Chances for showers and storms will return this weekend.

Clear skies will continue this evening and tonight. Lows tomorrow morning will be in the low to mid 60s, which is a degree or two lower than average.

Tomorrow’s weather will be a lot like what we saw today. Expect lots of sunshine with highs in the upper 80s.

Rest Of This Week:

More clouds will be possible on Friday with highs once again in the upper 80s. We’ll be dry during the day, but chances for showers and storms will return Friday night into Saturday.

Right now, forecast models differ on how much rain we’ll see. However, as of now I am expecting totals to remain less than a quarter of an inch.

Showers and storms will be possible again Friday night into Saturday.

We’ll be hotter and muggier on Saturday as highs rebound into the 90s, but cooler and comfortable weather returns once again next week.
