PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Lows overnight will fall closer to average near 60. Clear skies and quiet conditions will continue into the start of the work week thanks to a high pressure just east of the viewing area. Highs return to the 90s on Monday, topping out in the low 90s. Moisture will also be on the rise, but it won’t feel as oppressive or uncomfortable like it did last week. Regardless, still hot.

Our next First Alert Weather Day is Tuesday as air temperatures and dew point temperatures continue to rise. Tuesday will be the hottest day of the week with highs in the upper 90s and heat index values between 100-105. Heat related illness again will be a concern, so adjust your outdoor plans accordingly. Staying hydrated and taking frequent breaks is key to staying healthy in the heat!

Tuesday: Highs in the mid-upper 90s, heat index values above 100.

Highs for the rest of the work week will be in the low 90s, and rain chances are very on and off for the second half of the work week. Next chance for some isolated to scattered showers or sub-severe storms would be Tuesday night or Wednesday afternoon. Better rain and storm chances look possible Friday and Saturday morning.
