Craft show brings in funds for Easterseals
SPRING BAY (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Craft lovers were able to support kids with special needs at a vendor and craft fair in Spring Bay Saturday.
Glass work, woodwork, and even bead art were available for sale from local crafters. 100% of the fees vendors pay go to Easterseals, which helps provide equipment and therapy to children with special needs.
There was also a raffle, with half the pot split with Easterseals and the other going to a lucky winner.
“They need our help,” says Carol Loser, a volunteer with the organization. “There are so many budget cuts in the past and they were not able to get the services they needed. Then they had the pandemic, so parents were having to teach their kids to walk and talk and so forth. That’s what our therapists are for and we need all the help we can get those kids.”
If you weren’t able to check out the craft show, there are other ways to benefit Easterseals. More events are planned as early as this summer.
