Rain returns late tonight, a few strong storms possible tomorrow
Warmer weather returns for the upcoming holiday weekend
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Our weather should remain quiet this evening, but showers and storms will be possible once again late tonight and tomorrow morning. Periodic showers and storms will continue through Thursday, or possibly as late as Friday morning. A few strong storms may be possible tomorrow afternoon. The upcoming holiday weekend looks warmer and dry.
We’ll see mostly cloudy skies overnight with lows tomorrow near 60. Showers and storms will be possible late tonight and into tomorrow morning. Locally heavy rain may be possible at times.
Tomorrow Through Friday:
Periodic showers and storms are expected to continue through at least Thursday. A few showers may linger as late as Friday morning. Despite high rain chances at times, we still will see lots of dry time over the next few days.
We’re continuing to keep a close eye on tomorrow afternoon and evening for the possibility of a few strong or severe storms. The best timing for these will be between 2-8 PM, although do not expect it to storm for the duration of that timeframe. If any strong or severe storms form, locally high winds and large hail may be possible. An isolated tornado or two can’t be completely ruled out either.
The Next Big Thing:
Summer-like heat and humidity returns for the upcoming holiday weekend, especially on Sunday and Monday. As of now, it looks like it should be a dry weekend. If that changes we’ll let you know!
Tune in this evening for your full First Alert 10 Day Forecast!
