Gibson City teen identified after being killed in Wednesday McLean County crash

McLEAN COUNTY (Heart of Illinois ABC) - The McLean County Coroner’s Office has identified the 17-year-old Gibson City teen who died after a May 18 collision with a semi.
The Preliminary autopsy opinion indicates says Colin A. Bane died from multiple blunt injuries due to an automobile and semi-truck and trailer collision, reportedly sustained as the driver of the vehicle.
Toxicology is pending.
Bane was pronounced deceased Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on the scene at Illinois 9 and 2600 East Roads in McLean County.
The semi driver, a 28-year-old man from Killeen, Texas, was cited for failure to obey a stop sign, according to Illinois State Police.
