Highlights from softball, soccer, baseball and lacrosse including regional action
(Heart of Illinois ABC) - Metamora had a chance to clinch at least a share of the Mid-Illini softball title on Tuesday, but their biggest rivals prevented that from happening. Washington beat the Redbirds 7-2 to put themselves in contention for a conference championship. That means that with their 10-1 win over Pekin, East Peoria clinched a share of the conference title. The Mid-Illini championship will come down to Thursday’s game between Washington and East Peoria. With a win, EP is the outright champ. If Washington wins, Washington, East Peoria and Metamora will all share the title.
