Back to below average temperatures
No short-term rain chances
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - The cold front that brought showers and storms for the first half of Sunday is located east of the I-55 corridor (as of 3 PM). This means, most of the rain and storm activity has come to an end for our viewing area with the exception of an isolated light rain shower east of the IL river.
Mostly cloudy skies will stick around into the overnight and lows will fall into the mid 40s. Highs are cooler in the mid 50s for the next couple of days thanks to the passing cold front and northwesterly flow. Monday will feature decreasing clouds seeing some sun in the afternoon and winds will be breezy.

High pressure moving in will bring clear skies Monday night into all of Tuesday. Lows Monday and Tuesday will be cold in the low to mid 30s. As the high pressure shifts east Wednesday, warmer air will begin to flow in from the southwest. Highs will rebound at the end of the week, being closer to average in the low to mid 60s (average high: 67). Conditions will be quiet as rain chances don’t return to the forecast until late Thursday night and Friday night into Saturday.
