Three dogs rescued from Dunlap house fire

PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Peoria Fire crews responded to a house fire on North Fieldgrove Drive in Dunlap Wednesday afternoon. Crews forced entry through the front door where they encountered heavy smoke and found the fire in the kitchen.
It took crews about 10 to 15 minutes after arrival to put out the fire, and the cause is unknown and still under investigation. Three dogs were rescued, and the homeowner was not home at the time. One occupant was in the home, and there were no injuries reported.

Investigators estimated $200,000 in damages. The homeowner(s) will likely be displaced.
