PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - We hope everybody had a safe and enjoyable Easter Weekend.

A passing cold front early this morning has brought scattered showers and even some flurries across the region. As this cold front moves east, winds will increase throughout the day.

Temperatures will be cooler today as well, with daytime highs in the mid 40′s across the region. Gusts up to 35 miles per hour will be possible out of the west-northwest behind the passing front.

Gusty conditions will be possible throughout Monday's forecast.

As this front exits, a few sprinkles will be possible throughout the day. Sprinkles will not be enough to warrant the rain gear, but they could be a minor nuisance at times.

As we head through the work week, we’ll finally see warmer temperatures return. Thursday and Friday will see temperatures climb into the 70′s. We could reach the 80′s in some spots by Saturday afternoon.

We'll see warmer temperatures gradually return through the week.
