(Heart of Illinois ABC) - Normal Community sophomore Ali Ince continues to blow away the competition on the track this spring, turning in another strong performance at the Bloomington Invite on Friday. Ince won the 1600 has an individual before anchoring the Iron’s wins in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. Normal U-High won the team title as Delaney Fitzgerald raced her way to a win in the 3200.

In baseball, Morton remains unbeaten in Mid-Illini play with an 11-0 win over Pekin. Meanwhile, Olympia beat Dunlap, Eureka blanked Ridgeview behind a no-hitter from JJ Boles, Tremont edged Tri-Valley, Roanoke-Benson rallied to beat Heyworth and Brimfield beat Shiocton (WI) behind a two-homer day from Drew Bryant.

In softball, Class 3A No. 16 Metamora upset Class 3A No. 3 Rock Island 6-5 thanks to back-to-back homers from freshman Kaidence Till and senior Kayla Pacha late in the game. Tremont was also a winner in softball with an 11-1 victory over Tri-Valley.

In girls lacrosse, Washington topped Plainfield East 20-15.
