Strong storms possible this week
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Warm temperatures will continue through the work week, but rain will accompany the warmth over the next few days.
Scattered showers will be possible Monday morning into the early afternoon. A few showers can be expected through the morning drive, but most of today’s rain looks to occur from the late morning into the early afternoon. Showers will end by the time we head home from work, leaving us with dry conditions for the evening. Despite the rain chances, temperatures will come in just a few degrees below average with highs in the upper 50′s for most.

Tuesday will be warmer with highs near 70 degrees. A few showers will be possible, but most will remain dry.
Our main focus this week will be on a storm system that will pass through the region Wednesday. This system will be capable of bringing strong to severe storms ahead of a cold front. These storms will be capable of producing strong winds, large hail and heavy downpours. A few tornadoes will also be possible.
