PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Temperatures will get even warmer for the end of the weekend after a comfortable Saturday.

Winds will begin to shift to the southeast tonight. These winds will help drive a big warm-up for Sunday. Temperatures will quickly climb as a result of strong winds. Daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 60′s across the region, putting us back above average in terms of daytime highs.

Our warm Sunday will be driven by a strong influx on southeasterly winds. Winds will be gusty at times, with gusts up to 35 miles per hour possible. We’ll remain dry through much of Sunday, but a few spotty showers will be possible late, mainly after dinnertime.
