PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Temperatures will soar Monday ahead of wet conditions through much of the work week.

Monday is my pick of the week due to dry conditions and another round of temperatures well above average. We’ll run in the upper 40′s to lower 50′s through the morning commute. As we head through the day, strong southwesterly winds will drive in warmer air from the deep south. This will result in daytime highs in the low to mid 70′s for most.

Conditions will be gusty at times, with winds up to 30 miles per hour throughout the day.
