Turning Prospect Road Green
PEORIA (HEART OF ILLINOIS ABC) - W.E. Sullivan’s Irish Pub held their annual street party Thursday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. It was their first year back with the big celebration since COVID. The event featured Irish dancing, bag pipes, live music, and a full service bar. They also served Irish classic foods like corned beef and cabbage.
Lauren Blasek, Co-owner W.E. Sullivan’s Irish Pub, said “Live music all day long, we have Meltdown Creative Works doing t-shirts for people, they can make their own Sullivan’s swag. Face painter, Unique Twist is here. Lots of different things going on all day long.”
Lauren added that she is grateful for the neighboring businesses’ support along with Peoria Heights for allowing them to shut down parts of Prospect Rd. She is thankful they are able to hold this event and help the community come together and benefit local businesses.
The street party wrapped things up near one in the morning.
