New president announced to lead UnityPlace
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - UnityPoint Health - UnityPlace has a new leader.
Mary Sparks Thompson has been announced as president to lead UnityPoint Health’s collective behavioral health and addiction services, which took effect Monday, January 24, according to a release.
Thompson comes to UnityPoint Health from Clive, Iowa where she served as CEO of Clive Behavioral Health, the largest freestanding behavioral health facility in Iowa for children, adolescents and adults. Her prior experience includes operational as well as quality and safety leadership roles.
“I am excited to work with such a compassionate and committed team of experts in psychiatry, addiction medicine, and behavioral health to meet the Central Illinois community’s wellness needs. It is our privilege to partner with you on your journey of healing. I’m honored to have this opportunity to lead our efforts,” Thompson said in the release.
