MCLEAN COUNTY (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Twin Cities police were called to multiple shots fired incidents late Saturday, with one leading the Illinois State University Police Dept. to issue a crime advisory for the campus.

First, the Bloomington Police Dept. says officers were called to the 900 block of West Front St. around 5:15 PM Saturday for a shots fired alert. 15 shell casings were found at the scene. No vehicles or buildings were hit, and no injuries were reported. The scene was cleared around 6:00 PM.

Later that night, Normal Chief of Police Rick Bleichner says around 9:30 PM Saturday, officers were called to the 200 block of Lindell on reports of shots fired. There, they found seven vehicles struck by gunfire with some damage. There were no reported injuries, and suspect information is not available at this time.

In response, ISU Police issued a crime advisory in a post on Facebook Saturday night, warning of possible “dangerous conditions” near campus.

Anyone with additional information is encouraged to call the Normal Police Department at (309) 454-9535.
