Two arrested on numerous offenses after patrol officers hear numerous shots fired Friday morning

PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Two people have been arrested in Peoria after officers heard shots fired Friday morning.
Jamere Williams, 26, and Adrian Cox Jr., 20, were both arrested after patrol officers heard numerous shots being fired at around 1:10 a.m. in the area of the 2700 block of North Dechman.
Two ShotSpotter alerts then indicated that a total of 24 rounds were fired.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle leaving the immediate area, resulting in a pursuit for a short distance.
Two of the four occupants were able to be apprehended after the vehicle stopped leading to a foot chase.
Williams was arrested for obstructing police.
Cox Jr. was arrested for aggravated unlawful use of weapons, no FOID, possession of a stolen firearm and obstructing police.
Officers found 34 shell casings in the area where shots were fired.
