McLean County Museum to offer free admission on MLK Day
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Anyone who visits the McLean County Museum of History this Monday, January 17th, will get in for free in honor of Doctor Martin Luther King Junior.
Hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
According to a release, the museum offers free admission every Tuesday as part of the McLean County Historical Society’s vision to be an essential element in the cultural and educational fabric of the region.
Members of the society hope to remove barriers and the release notes free admission on MLK Day is an extension of that.
“Students and children twelve and under already enjoy free admission to the Museum anytime. The free admission days removes barriers for adults, with families in mind. As a school holiday we wanted to also encourage parents to come out with their kids and reflect,” said Jeff Woodard, Director of Marketing and Community Relations.
