CHAMPAIGN (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Surrounded by friends, family and even Chicago Bulls teammate DeMar DeRozan, Ayo Dosunmu watched his jersey rise to the rafters of State Farm Center on Thursday night. He became the 34th player in program history to have his jersey honored. And to make the night even more fun for Illini fans, the Orange & Blue also took home the win with a 76-64 victory over Maryland.

The Illini jumped out to a 14-point lead in the first half but a big run from Maryland gave the Terps a four-point halftime lead. But in the second half, Trent Frazier went to work and sparked a quick 12-0 run to regain the lead for the Illini. Frazier had 16 for Illinois.

The start of the show, though, was once again Kofi Cockburn. The Illini big man got into foul trouble in the first half and played just eight minutes before the break. But in the second half, he came out like a man possessed as he bullied his way to 23 points and matched a career-high with 18 rebounds in the win.

Next up for Illinois is a visit to Nebraska next Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
