Gov. Pritzker to work remotely after close contact

CHICAGO (WGEM) - Gov. JB Pritzker’s office announced on Wednesday that the governor will be working remotely until Sunday.
Wednesday’s announcement came after the governor had close contact with a state employee who tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.
The governor’s office said that he is taking extra precautions due to the Omicron variant that is spreading across the state.
According to the governor’s office, as of Wednesday morning, the governor tested negative for COVID-19. They said he is fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
