McLean County man charged with 50 child pornography counts
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - A 71-year old Chenoa man is being held on $1 million bond for 50 felony charges of child pornography possession.
A McLean County Grand Jury last Tuesday indicted Chester B. McKee, and McLean County Sheriff’s Police said they arrested McKee the next day.
Illinois State Police have been investigating McKee for alleged crimes dating back to 2019, which are said to have happened in Chenoa.
McKee is accused of possessing child pornography, not creating it.
Prosecutors asked for a high bond because if McKee is convicted, he faces the possibility of consecutive prison sentences on each of the counts.
McKee must come up with $100,000 cash to be released from jail. The judge set December 10th for McKee’s arraignment.
