UPDATE: 1 person wounded in south side shooting

UPDATE (6:02 p.m.) - Peoria Police said a male victim suffered a leg wound from a shooting that happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Peoria’s south side.
Police responded to the shooting after a Shot Spotter alert indicated nine rounds were fired in the 2300 block of West Antoinette Street.
The victim is hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.
No suspect information was immediately available.
PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - Peoria Police confirmed a male victim was shot about 5 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of West Antoinette Street.
Police said the victim appeared to suffer non-life threatening injuries, and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
